March 27, 2025 - 82 miles, 3500 ft elevation, La Grange, TX to Navasota, TX
Lots of rain to start the day in La Grange but it’s not cold at all. Let’s take a second and be thankful for how generally good the weather has been for the trip. Other than the snowstorm, we’ve been precipitation-free for the trip.
This riding day will not be the day that goes down in the books as a favorite. The scenery was pretty good at times. However, the rollers were constant, almost “hills” at times. The headwind or crosswind was hanging around all day and the pavement was covered with our lovely Texas Chip Seal.

Fortunately, we got a dry lunch in Burton, TX before heading out and getting wet again. As the skies got darker, the scenery got better with more trees and more flowers coming out to greet us on the approach to the outer-outer Houston area.

This wasn’t the best day of riding but you cannot win them all.
